What we build with

Two systems, picked by what the site and the look call for.

Keystone and Belgard segmental block — engineered units that lock together, for clean lines and consistent courses.
Boulder walls — natural stone set in place, available in a range of colors, for a heavier and less manufactured look that suits a wooded or rural lot.
Steps set into the wall face where the grade needs a way through.
Curves and terraces where a single tall run would be wrong for the site.
Engineered walls above four feet, built to the engineer’s design.

How tall we’ll go

Four feet is the line. Under that, we build it. Over four feet, the wall gets engineered — we build to the engineer’s design, and we can bring an engineer in when a job needs one.

Water is what takes a wall down

Walls rarely fail because of what’s sitting on top of them. They fail because water got behind them with nowhere to go, and then pushed. Backfill with drain rock and a drainage system installed properly behind the wall, and the water has a way out.

Where a wall earns its keep

Most of the walls we build are doing a job, not just sitting there. Holding a bank off a drive. Flattening a sloped yard into something the family can actually use. Making room for a shop pad or a barn. Keeping a cut slope from ending up in the driveway after a hard rain.
